Echinacea One Million Ways
I belong to several quilting groups on Facebook and recently a fresh poster asked where should they start? My first instinct is to laugh and say that there are millions of ways to put together an art quilt. It’s a bit like asking a chef how you get started cooking. It’s a bit of a loaded question, right? Anyway, I did not respond to the post but I started thinking about how many ways I know to put together an art quilt. So I started with a photograph and decided to see just how many ways there are to love it into a quilted piece. I’m also counting other things like ways to bind the quilt, how pieces are attached, etc. While there are probably not a million, there are a lot of ways. And if your really want to get started, do what I did, I saw something I liked and tried to copy it. Anyway, here’s 13 and counting….
