The Blue Belt – (18″x24″ Oil Glazing on Smooth Board – Display only)

I’ve been working on this piece for a while, applying almost 30 layers of glazes. It has taught me a lot about chiaroscuro, grisaille and glazing. Some people have asked me why I would paint a picture of me in my pajamas. Let me just say, these are not my pajamas.
